Artist Spotlight

This piece was to highlight the insecurities among artists regarding their own technique, style and talent. Often times, when artists see a piece that is higher in skill level or technique, we tend to feel insecure about our own art and feel the need to compare ourselves to others. I referenced many famous paintings in my artwork and personified them to laugh at the character. I also used lines to show the anxiety exhibited from art insecurity. I wanted to show through this piece that being an artists comes with many struggles and one of them is comparison to other artists' work.
